Thermotex frost protection procedures provide measures to prevent ice from forming on surfaces, structures or equipment. The intent of anti-icing and de-icing is to allow the surfaces, structures or equipment to be continually and, therefore, immediately available. Our solutions prevent fluids freezing within systems and ensures mechanisms can remain functional. When temperatures are cold enough for long enough, insulation alone will not protect instruments from freezing. Thermotex SRF self-regulating frost protection heating cable will continue to keep pipes flowing despite freezing conditions.
In anti-icing and anti-freezing arrangements we use heat cable tracing using self-regulating, or limiting, procedures which operate using two copper buzz wires with a black, cross linked polymer. Measuring ambient temperatures, Thermotex heat cable applications produce a fluctuating control system.

This, ultimately, measures the likelihood of large particles such as dust, water and sand from entering instruments. Further, our frost protection solutions are ATEX, EAC CUTR, IECEX, FM and CSA approved, conforming to globally renowned specifications.
