Thermotex SRL frost protection applications are an energy saving solution targeted at small pipe systems. In essence, our SRL frost protection is a smaller scale version of our SRF solution as it operates on 5W p/m. Traditionally, 10W are used to heat small pipe applications, however, the use of lower wattage supports an improved, energy efficient solution. Smaller pipe instruments are more likely to freeze due to the higher ratio of water to surface area. Despite this, it also means the configuration does not require as much heat application. Therefore, we do not incorporate more heat than necessary.

All Thermotex self-regulating heaters are manufactured and processed to give unrivaled performance, power retention and life. Thermotex self-regulating heating cables consist of two parallel conductors embedded in a conductive polymer-heating core, which is cross-linked for long-term durability and reliability. The power output of the cables automatically adjusts to compensate for changes in temperature. As the temperature falls, the electric current passing through the core increases and so more heat is generated. Conversely, as the temperature rises, the core has fewer electrical paths and less heat is produced.
